Responding to crisis events such as the COVID-19 pandemic often lead to unintended or unexpected consequences. This session will identify and discuss examples of such consequences, which can be positive, negative, or yet to be determined. Examples for discussion include: new ways to conduct business; new roles of various departments within a company; supply chain impacts; and how to effectively communicate science-based facts and combat fake news. This will be an interactive session with experienced panelists who represent diverse areas of the food industry.
