The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has published a lexicon of commonly used words related to antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The lexicon is now available in all six official United Nations (UN) languages—Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish—in addition to other languages.
Having a clear and precise definitions of words is important when diverse stakeholders engage in discussion, and having harmonized terminology will be helpful in collaborations to mitigate AMR.
