Sabert Commits to Eliminating PFAS from All Products by End of 2023
Food packaging manufacturer Sabert Corporation has announced that it intends to eliminate all intentionally added per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from its full product portfolio by the end of 2023.
For more than three years, Sabert and has been developing and refining a number of PFAS-free formulas for its packaging products. The company’s molded fiber and paper portfolio currently features over 85 moisture- and oil-resistant products manufactured without intentionally added PFAS, including more than 40 that are certified by the Biodegradable Products Institute. More than 75 percent of Sabert’s fiber products already meeting PFAS-free standards.
