As meat and poultry processing is considered a critical infrastructure within the food and agriculture sector, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has provided the industry with guidance for companies to follow amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Some facilities across the food supply chain have been deemed part of the critical manufacturing sector identified by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. For that reason, CDC has provided guidance that advises food manufacturers and workers how to continue working following potential exposure to COVID-19.
