Mann Packing Issues Third Food Safety Recall Since 2017
Mann Packing Company, headquartered in Salinas, CA, has issued yet another recall of various vegetable products sold to a number of U.S. and Canadian-based retailers. The affected products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The company also issued similar recalls in 2017 and 2018. Mann was acquired by Del Monte Fresh Produce in 2018.
Mann’s 2019 Recall
Mann’s most recent recall, issued out of an abundance of caution, was issued in response to a notification from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. The recalled products such as broccoli, carrots, kale, and cauliflower, have a “Best If Enjoyed By” date of October 11, 2019 to November 16, 2019. Affected brands include HEB, Kroger Organic, US Foods, Trader Joes, Del Monte, and more. A full list of the U.S. recalled products, as well as the affected products in Canada, are both available on Mann Packing’s website. Consumers who believe that they are in possession of any of the products affected by this recall should dispose of the product in an appropriate waste container.
