34 Tons of Tyson Chicken Recalled After Metal Pieces Reported
Tyson Foods, Inc. has issued a recall of more than 34 tons of frozen, ready-to-eat chicken strip products because they may be contaminated with pieces of metal. The problem was discovered when the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA FSIS) received two consumer complaints of extraneous material in the chicken strip products.
The products in question were produced on November 30, 2018, and were shipped to retail locations nationwide and for institutional use in locations in Michigan and Washington. They include:
