The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), along with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state and local health officials, is investigating a multistate outbreak of Salmonella Sandiego illnesses linked to Spring Pasta Salad sold at Hy-Vee locations in eight Midwestern states.
According to FDA’s July 18th outbreak update, the CDC has confirmed 21 infected people in five states. Five people have been hospitalized. No deaths have been reported in relation to this outbreak.
