Cyclospora Infections Reported by 200 People in 19 States
Health officials continue their search for a common food source in an ongoing Cyclospora outbreak that has affected 19 states and more than 200 people, according to the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP). CIDRAP's July 29 report follows:
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said 202 cases have been reported as of July 29, an increase of 77 from the past week. More than half of the cases were in Texas, which saw its total grow by 49 cases over the past week, to 110.
