Nuestro Queso, a Rosemont, Ill.-based manufacturer of Hispanic dairy products for private label and co-pack customers, said it obtained SQF Level 3 quality certification. Level 3 SQF certification includes quality requirements in addition to all of the food safety requirements in Levels 1 and 2.
The SQF program is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative and links primary production certification to food manufacturing, distribution and agent/broker management certification, the company said. Administered by the Food Marketing Institute, the goal of the SQF system is to deliver consistent globally recognized food safety and quality certification programs based on sound scientific principles.
