A new report assesses the world’s progress toward Target 12.3 of the sustainable development goals (SDGs), which calls on all nations to halve food waste and reduce food loss by 2030.
According to the new publication, “SDG Target 12.3 on Food Loss and Waste: 2016 Progress Report,” released on behalf of Champions 12.3, a unique coalition of leaders from government, business and civil society around the world dedicated to inspiring ambition, mobilizing action, and accelerating progress toward achieving SDG Target 12.3, governments and organizations across Europe, Africa and the United States have taken a number of notable steps over the past year, but more is needed worldwide.
